Nepal Seismological center measured the Magnitudes to be 4.4 , 5.2 and 4.0 respectively. The first tremor of magnitude 4.4 at 5:58 Am was centered in Kirtipur and sent local residents of Kathmandu running into the streets in fear. Heavy shaking was felt that lasted only a couple of seconds. The other two following quakes, however, were light as they had epicenter farther in Sindhupalchowk. It has been nearly two months since the Deadly Magnitude 7.8 quake rattled Nepal and small quake keep visiting like trustworthy followers of the disaster!

The epicenter of this aftershock was Sindhupalchowk  just a little further North-East of Chautara. At this time Nat-Geo's documentary ,"Trapped In Nepal" was being aired on the television. It is not surprising to see the fear still prevalent in the residents of the quake affected zone as memories of the deadly tremors on 25th April and 12th May were revived.

Fresh monsoon rains triggered numerous landslides in Taplejung which also severely injured 8 people and washed away much of Liwang, Thokling, Thinglabu and Lingket VDCs. Of the deceased, only five including Chameli Limbu and Manamaya Limbu of Lingtepa, Devendra Liwang of Liwang, Sabin Maden and Basant BK of Khokling have been identified as of now, according to local police, Taplejung. Nearly 3 dozen household in the district have been reported to be washed away by the slipping mud and the rescue efforts are hampered by constant rain, high water level in the rivers and bad weather. Locals with the help of police are involved in the rescue work while risk of further slips remain intact on numerous places along the hills as foundations were cracked open and weakened by numerous tremors since the 25th of April 25th. "This is just the beginning of countless landslides that will follow as monsoon takes up shape," experts say "this is just a beginning; we have been efficient on rescue and relief but disaster preparation was ignored." Mahanta Thakur who is generally seen keeping himself aside media spotlight, finally spoke to Kantipur that they were ready to hit the streets if the constitutional cauldron hasn't got the recipe suited for Madhesi taste. Thakur also accused the nation for being unfair to Terai since forever and suggested protest until Madhesis have what they "need". Thakur  made it clear that they needed a separate state accumulating all of Terai and are not looking to include any hills in the state. Madhesh-based parties were criticized for protesting hastily even before the mapping and naming was done; to which Thakur replied firmly "Morning shows the day", clearly suggesting dissatisfaction on the decision made by the major parties. The 30-party alliance broke when Maoist led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal(Prachanda) , and Bijay kumar gachhedar's Forum loktantrik agreed on the 8-state proposal put forward in the meeting yesterday. While supporting Thakur's views, Madhesi parties and Madhesis often bring up the Janakpur-Bhittamod road that has been decorated as a dirt-bike track since a decade with no work being done while even the smallest of towns between the Chure and Mahabharat hills are accessible without a bumpy ride. The political lighthouse shows a series of protests could follow the wounds created by the 25th april  disaster. This agreement surely came after the urgent need to stabilize the country for effective endeavors after leaders were heavily criticized for their inability to act quick for rescue and relief. Dozens of small parties rejected the agreement saying that naming and making boundaries were too important a matter to be left out at this point. The heart of previous disputes lied in the disagreement of Maoist and Madhesh-based parties who insisted on naming the states on the basis of ethnicity. The disputes were also based on the disagreement in the number and boundaries of the federal states. "The government will set up a federal commission to fix internal boundaries of the states," four major parties, including the Maoists, said in a statement. "Any more haggling over the Constitution would further alienate politicians from the people who have lost everything in the earthquake," said Prakash Acharya, an editor with theHimalayan Times daily. This quick response from political parties on a matter, disputed for as long as 5 years, is seen as an act of reestablishing faith in the common people of Nepal. People have been raising questions on the leaders and parties after witnessing their inability to handle the aftermath of the unexpected disaster.
